  • CareerSource Broward (CSBD), the administrative entity of the Broward Workforce Development Board (BWDB), is a federally-funded, locally-controlled organization providing numerous services to employers and job seekers in Broward County. These services are delivered through three one-stop centers. We assist job seekers at every level, from cashiers to CEOs.   • Broward Technical Colleges Broward Technical Colleges offer career counseling and career training at a reasonable cost. Financial aid is available to those who qualify. Long and short career training programs are offered in areas encompassing architecture and construction, business management and administration, cosmetology, early childhood education, health care and health science, hospitality and tourism, information technology, manufacturing, public service, and transportation.

  • Broward 2-1-1 Your First Call for Help. 2-1-1 is a 24-hour, free, confidential telephone HELPLINE for crisis/suicide counseling, empathetic listening and community information and referrals for health and human services resources in Broward County.   • Florida KidCare Child health insurance you can afford! Through Florida KidCare, the state of Florida offers health insurance for children from birth through age 18, even if one or both parents are working. It includes four different parts. When you apply for the insurance, Florida KidCare will check which part your child may qualify for based on age and family income. http://www.floridakidcare.org/

  • Subject Area Exam: Online Registration for the Florida Teacher Certification Online registration for the Florida Teacher Certification Subject Area Exam is available on-line 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There are no deadlines for computer-based testing registration. Register as early as possible before your desired test date, as test sites accept registrations on a first-come, first-serve basis and seating is limited. http://www.fl.nesinc.com/
