WorkForce One Federally-funded, locally-controlled organization providing numerous services to employers and job seekers in Broward County. In addition, Workforce One's Professional Placement Network (PPN) is available to individuals with a four-year degree or a minimum of five years of managerial experience and/or a salary of $35,000 per year or more. PPN will help individuals learn the step-by-step process of getting a job. New Initiatives Being Offered Through Workforce One TORQTM - Workforce One counselors have access to TORQTM - the Transferable Occupation Relationship Quotient database. This is not available to the general public. It is an analytical tool that links occupations based on the abilities, skills, and knowledge required by workers in a vast number of occupations. It looks at an individual's skill set and crosswalks them with other occupations that use similar skill sets. It performs a gap analysis that indicates how close the matches are and identifies areas for additional training to close the gaps. HWOL - Help Wanted Online is just being rolled out. It is a web-based search engine that polls corporate web sites, state-wide, for job openings. It identifies who is hiring, the job description and can cross match with Workforce One clients skills. HWOL polls the corporate web sites every 4 hours for the most current job postings.
